Living Center
The
Fidelia Eckerd Living Center (FELC) is an 84-bed nursing facility with
4 private and 40 semi-private rooms. FELC is connected to the hospital
so that emergency and acute care are just a few steps away. Each
resident is assigned a primary care physician who recommends a plan of
medical treatment, supervises diagnostics as well as therapeutic
procedures, and personally prescribes any required medication.
Hospice
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital provides a special kind of compassionate,
home-focused care to terminally ill residents of Macon and Jackson
counties. The Hospice concentrates on making patients as free of pain
and as comfortable as possible while maintaining their dignity and
inner peace. A primary goal of the program is to allow patients to
remain among their loved ones as they are cared for each day.

Rehabilitation
Services
In an
atmosphere of private suites, personal attention from the best we have
to offer in skilled professional care, and an environment fro those
who need short or longer term health monitoring, we are pleased to
bring to your attention a unique program for those who require
extended care at the hospital. We call it Skilled Rehabilitation.
 
Nursing
Care
Once the
hospitals Board Certified Physicians take care of you and make you
well, it is up to our professional nursing staff to do the rest. We
have 92 nurses to handle the needs of both the hospital and the
Fidelia Eckerd Living Center and it is in their good care that we
entrust your continued well being.
 
Surgery
Center
Many of
you among the community are unaware of the surgical capabilities that
we offer; some don't even know we have a surgery center here at
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital where our surgeons perform the latest in
Laparoscopic and General Surgical procedures. This is just
another way in which Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is growing and one
that is a vital part of our patient care today.
