Influenced by his father and older brother, medicine was the obvious
career choice for Paul Cabiran. After graduating from medical school
and serving his internship and residency in internal medicine, Dr.
Cabiran completed a further three year training program specializing
in dermatology. “Dermatology appealed to me,” said Cabiran “because it
applies a combination of surgical and medical procedures to such a
varied field of patients; both male and female, in all age groups.”
After completing
his residency in Dermatology, Dr. Cabiran was employed with the large
and busy Ochsner Clinic in Baton Rouge. In 2004 he started his own
practice on the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital Campus. “It was the
opportunity to have my own practice in a very special facility and
beautiful part of the country.” said Dr. Cabiran. Early diagnosis
followed by the appropriate treatment is at the forefront of Dr.
Cabiran’s philosophy. “At HCH, I have more time to devote to each
patient. Add to this the first class facilities and state-of-the-art
equipment at our disposal and we have a community medical facility
second to none.”
During his down time, Dr. Cabiran enjoys hiking, boating in area lakes
and travel.
