Physician Forums

 

All physicians at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital are Board Certified. This means that our physicians have gone beyond the minimum competency requirements to diagnose and treat patients and have voluntarily completed ongoing, rigorous testing and evaluation within their specialty. This means that the physicians at HCH have an established record of experience, skill and knowledge. Now, they are offering to share that knowledge in a series of Lunch and Learns.

 

Join us for Physician Forums at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, where from May through October, you can enjoy an hour long Lunch and Learn educational seminar, on a variety of health topics, followed by a question and answer session. TOPIC: "Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention" by Dr. Richard Matthews, MD, FAAFP, Board Certified Family Medicine physician.

 

Learn how to recognize unusual symptoms that may mean the onset of a heart attack or stroke. Hear how ‘Time is Tissue’ and that seeking medical attention as soon as possible can reduce the long term effects of a stroke. In addition find out the latest in heart attack and stroke prevention.
